Who we are
Combat veterans united by camaraderie, advocacy, and the responsibility to keep serving the place we call home.
Our vision
Respect, recognition, and every earned benefit.
Veterans and their loved ones should be recognized for their sacrifices and receive the entitlements they earned.
Our roots
A national movement, lived locally.
The VFW traces its roots to 1899, when veterans returning from overseas conflicts organized to secure care and benefits. St. Charles Memorial Post 5036 formed on December 20, 1945. Since then, members have carried the VFW mission into the classrooms, families, charities, civic institutions, and neighborhoods of St. Charles.
